Lotsa pasta! Skiff continues to make positive impact for local food pantry

October 15, 2017

The Skiff family has once again made a difference to the lives of those in our community who are affected by hunger and poverty. Our latest Mission on the Move, “From Nickels to Noodles,” was a pasta and coin drive to benefit the food pantry at the Newton Salvation Army.

Skiff staff brought in 216 pounds of food – primarily dried pasta – along with $64.78 in coins and cash.

“It could not have come at a better time,” wrote the Salvation Army’s Kelly Zach via e-mail.  “Seriously, I was contemplating calling or e-mailing Skiff for help – after the two terribly busy months we have had, just to get the basics into the pantry would have been helpful. So we very much appreciate your efforts, without our request! Seriously, I could hug you through e-mail right now! Bless you so much!”
