The Central Iowa Ostomy Support Group, which is made up of ostomates (those who have either have a colostomy, urostomy or ileostomy), meets several times a year. It is also open to caregivers, family members, health-care professionals or anyone else who would like to learn more.

The Nov. 10 meeting will be held in Meeting Room A of the Newton Public Library at 10:15 a.m. The speaker will be Joyce Otto, RN, BSN, CWON. She will be presenting "Peri-stomal Skin Problems and What To Do About Them." Anyone with an ostomy is invited to attend, as well as caregivers and medical professionals.
