Skiff Inservice Room
Taught by certified childbirth educator JoEllen Morrison, this course is designed to prepare expectant families for labor and birth, and to assist with decision-making regarding the birth of their child. This course is delivered in three Wednesday evening sessions or a single Saturday session. Please bring two pillows.

Weekly Immunization Clinic Every Wednesday from noon-3 p.m.

Our Immunization Clinic is held every Wednesday from noon-3 p.m. at Skiff Home Care office, by appointment only. Immunizations available include varicella (chicken pox), DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus and acellular pertussis), IPV (injectable polio vaccine), MMR (measles, mumps and rubella), HIB (haemophilus B) and hepatitis B vaccine. Chicken Pox and Hepatitis B Immunization Clinic Every Wednesday from 2-4 p.m.
Skiff Home Care office  
Our weekly Chicken Pox and Hepatitis B Immunization Clinic is held from 2-4 p.m. every Wednesday at the Skiff Home Care office, 204 N. 4th Ave. E. in Newton Children ages 6 to18 may receive the chicken pox vaccine or hepatitis B vaccine at this free clinic. The Central Iowa Ostomy Support Group meets on the second Thursday of each month, rotating between Skiff Medical Center, Grinnell Regional Medical Center and Pella Regional Health Center. R.E.L.I.S.H. (Relax, Eat, Laugh, Interact, Support, Heal) will meet at 6 p.m. on Sept. 27, 2010, at Newton Family Restaurant, 2426 1st Ave. E., Newton. R.E.L.I.S.H. is a group for adults who are grieving the death of a loved one. Members gather at a designated restaurant on the fourth Monday of each month. A grief support program for teens (grades 7-12) who have experienced the death of a loved one. Sessions for both middle school and high school students will be offered periodically throughout the school year.
